Congratulations to the Foundation Project on the successful completion of six toilet blocks in Mabvaku, aided in part by a donation we made earlier this year. This work is part of a larger project which is currently providing pre-school education for 26 children. There are plans to expand this 200 children and a feeding programme, which are now a step closer with suitable sanitary infrastructure in place.
The following is quoted from an email sent by Charlotte Haggie (Director of The Foundations Project).
It has been rather a run around but I have finally been to Mabvuku this morning to see the finished product of our ablutions (please see photos of the process attached!) We now have 6 fully functional blair toilets which were made possible by your kind donation.
We have been given a grant by someone through the Goldman Sachs Giving Foundation that is going to allow us to finalise the classrooms and get the skills development centre and feeding programme up and running which I am so excited about!! Unfortunately, all of these things take time and I am champing at the bit to get going but we are waiting patiently and have everything lined up to get going once the funds come through.
